Hey everyone,
I've been having an issue for some time regarding the naming that linuxwacom (I've tried linuxwacom-dev as well) gives to my stylus and eraser. Here is my current output:
[mike@x60 ~]$ xsetwacom --list
Wacom Serial Tablet PC Pen Tablet/Digitizer eraser ERASER
Wacom Serial Tablet PC Pen Tablet/Digitizer stylus STYLUS
Okay, so my devices are there, now let's try to rotate them.
[mike@x60 ~]$ xsetwacom --set "stylus" rotate HALF
Cannot find device 'stylus'.
[mike@x60 ~]$ xsetwacom --set "STYLUS" rotate HALF
Cannot find device 'STYLUS'.
Now I'm confused, the devices are named, but they don't seem to be defined properly. I have the wacom-names script that's been floating about that's supposed to remedy this issue, but that doesn't help.
Just as a piece of extra information, if I run xsetwacom using the xinput device number, the rotation happens fine, so I'm assuming that limits it to the naming of the devices.
Thanks for your help guys, this has been driving me nuts!
Mike

I had this same problem. On my tablet, it turned out the first part of the output is the name, e.g.
xsetwacom --set "Wacom Serial Tablet PC Pen Tablet/Digitizer stylus" rotate HALF

Thanks for the prompt response, that solves that mystery!
