Do you mind share ncmpcpp config?
Sure.

That is a feature of KDE 4.4
Right click on your desktop and select your activity setings.
Go to mouse actions.
There you can asign different functions to different mouse action. For example, to get the menu, assign application launcher to the mouse button of your choice.
You can also asign key plus mouse button combos. For example, I ave shift + right mouse for activies.
It would be better IMO if you could add a favorites menu. There is a hack or whatever on kde-look for one though.

My last screenshot of the month. I decided to play around with kde some.

Showing Application Launcher - via mouse action (aka the 'right click desktop menu')
Showing Mouse Action Configuration Screen
And now for some information.

Icon Theme

Mouse Theme
OxidGlas
Other Info
You will see the following apps running: opera (grouped with konsole), kopete, dolphin. Amarok is also running in the background.
The favorites menu for mouse action is obtained from here:

It is pretty awesome.. maybe we should make a pkgbuild for it?
The applauncher option, as explained earlier is a function that exists for kde4.4
I have the widget plasma board assigned to meta + ? key. On my keyboard that is the windows key + ?. I use the windows key right below the ? so it is supper easy to access and gives me a nice out-of the way place for my plasma widgets. I have the plasma widget board set to hold it's own widgets, separate of the desktop itself or the panel (this is a kde 4.4 function).
Over all, I am pleased with this setup, and I hope these screenshots prove useful to anyone wanting to try out KDE and not sure of the many things you can do with it.

Hi,
A completely noob question which probably have come up before:
What is the program that displays the ASCII Arch logo and the computer details? I've seen on many of the screenshots posted here. Looks nice
I'm thinking of posting mine sometime soon.
Cheers!

Thanks!
The fav launcher works really well, and is simple to install, with instructions included. If/once I ever get my head around making a pkgbuild, i may try to make one for this (but please, if someone else wants to beat me to it, go right ahead!).
It keeps your favorites that you assigned in kickoff, and is nice and simple. I am surprised that it wasn't made as an option in 4.4 or thus far in 4.5 like applauncher is.
