pacman says my system is up to date - but it's not

Well that's the whole story - when i try to:

sudo pacman -Syu

i get:

:: Synchronizing package databases...
core is up to date
extra is up to date
community is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
local database is up to date

but i haven't been updating for about 2 months. please help.

Re: pacman says my system is up to date - but it's not

i guess you are using a mirror which doesn't synchronize at all. check it here:

https://www.archlinux.de/?page=MirrorStatus

found a mirror that is up to date

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Use the mir.archlinux.fr (put it first) and try again.

just added last line - still nothing

pacman will use the first server from mirrorlist, it would try the next one if the connection to the first one is not successfully. To actually use the kernel.org mirror, you need to move it first and then for a sync with pacman -Syyu
