Slow 3d acceleration Catalyst

Hi, I have an ATI Radeon 3650 HD AGP.

Performance inside awesome wm using xcompmgr is OK, and so are playing flash videos etc.

But when playing games like assaultcube or sauerbraten I get only 10-20 fps, which is really low even for this card(should at least have 100 or so with the settings I use.)

I installed catalyst from AUR using yaourt, removed libgl(yaourt asked to remove it, I said yes)  added fglrx to rc.conf and fglrx shows up when I do lsmod | grep fglrx

Also, playing sauerbraten made my computer freeze completely. Not temporary but permanent. I added the lines

   Option "UseInternalAGPGART" "no"
Option "KernelModuleParm" "agplock=0" # AGP locked user pages: disabled

to my xorg.conf

And after that assaultcube works without hanging. Haven't tried sauerbraten yet, will do that after posting this message.

EDIT: Sauerbraten doesn't freeze anymore now either.

Re: Slow 3d acceleration Catalyst

Turns out xcompmgr caused all the trouble, without it it works good as hell.

Will try to see if I can catch any error messages from xcompmgr. EDIT: no errors were thrown from what I could see.

Is there any other good composition manager?
