Been trying to get an HP usb printer going. The cups wiki has a section about usb printers, but whatever I'm doing isn't going anywhere." tail /var/log/messages.log" and "dmesg" don't show a printer. I've blacklisted usblp and un-blacklisted it. Neither seems to do anything, not sure if usblp even comes into the picture, if the terminal doesn't show the printer to begin with. I usually use "lsusb" to see what's attached to the usb plugs, but evidently lsusb doesn't work with printers(?).
