[Solved]starting kde/missing kdm

I think my problem was caused by a faield kdebase-workspace, i changed my mirrorlist to use other mirror and reinstallit, and i read all the putput , found a problem with some icons files

Hi, i am missing KDM, i read the wiki page about starting kde but i can't do it.
! i can't find kdm, i installed kdebase and kdebase-workspace but kdm is missing

i tried other methods, like editing .xinitab and such, but i have a problem starting xorg with startx and xinit commanfds, if i use gdm it starts in gnome(only the pabels, i have not installled gnome) and i can't make gdm start kde, slim is not starting, xdm starts but when i hit login it reloads after 1 second and it starts over again

Just tell me how to get kdm, this is a chakra installation and i removed kdemod(i did it corectly no vories here) i installed package kde kde-meta , but no kdm to start kde.

My Xorg errors when starting with start x are

  533.879] (EE) Failed to load module "fbdev" (module does not exist, 0)
[   534.168] (EE) SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad Unable to query/initialize Synaptics hardware.

but gdm can start Xorg and kdm from kdemod started it fine,m i switched from kdemod because of some soind problems

KDM is part of kdebase-workspace. It is also recommend to start it via inittab. (See wiki) So, you either have not installed kdebase-workspace or you system is really messed up; in that case reinstall using our isos and not the chakra ones.
