that is fine because you gave -r smnt
in smnt you don't have the database that pacman is using. pacman -Sy base -r smnt
i'm not sure if you need to created the directories first

Works here. Did you merge the config files after last update? Can you install packages directly?

I'm on Arch everything working normaly, i copied that line from the Wiki. So I guess that needs updating cause -Sy works ;-) thanks a lot for such quick help. Sorry stupid me it said that a few lines above in the wiki, I guess trying to do something like this a minute before leaving the house ain't such a good idea
