Hi
VLC 1.1 was released a few days, or weeks ago and I was wondering when it will be in the repo ?
I made a search, and see nothing about it even in the testing repo

Vlc 1.1 is 4 days old. It is flagged out of date, and the maintainer will update it as soon as he finds the time. If you need it now, use ABS to compile the new version. Or check out vlc-git

From the maintainer on arch-general:
vlc is already commited in trunk by me but i'm waiting a reply from the upstream developer of libva. I don't have any issue releases vlc without hardware decoding and i guess you want that too no?

We don't like the 'hey when is this gonna hit the repos' topics around here.
Developers have a life too, you know, and 99% of the time, if an upgrade is delayed, it is with reason.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
