Emerald does not work

I installed Arch->xfce4->compiz with emerald.

Now, compiz works, fine, but emerald does not run. If I do
emerald --replace
window bars disappear and I am unable to move them. I tried running it from terminal so I can see output but there is nothing.

I have the same problem aswell with my acer aspire 532h.

I have emerald but with the compiz-fusion packages as well and it's available from the fusion-icon (system tray).
