Pc speaker

Hi,

Another new arch user here. Coming from Fedora Core 3. So far things are looking quite
good. But...

I've searched a bit, perhaps not enougth but: Is there some way to disable PC-SPEAKER?
It is really annoying in console/terminal to press backspace and it says BEEB, also seems to do
that in text editor time to time. Ofcourse i could take it off from motherboard, but i would prefer just disabling it.

Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell 'em, 'Certainly I can!' Then get busy and find out how to do it.

Re: Pc speaker

Also, although this is probably not the solution you are looking for, I ended up just unplugging mine because of the constant beep.

Re: Pc speaker

Add pcspkr to /etc/hotplug/blacklist. It disables the load of the speaker module, then you will not hear it anymore.

wink
