Hello.
I have ASUS 1001HA netbook.
I installed on it Archlinux. GRUB was installed in MBR.
fdisk -l:
Disk /dev/sda: 160.0 GB, 160041885696 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 19457 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x845a4551
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 1947 15639246 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda2 1948 5797 30925125 83 Linux
/dev/sda3 5798 19451 109675755 f W95 Ext'd (LBA)
/dev/sda4 19452 19457 48195 ef EFI (FAT-12/16/32)
/dev/sda5 5798 10935 41270953+ 83 Linux
/dev/sda6 10936 11196 2096451 82 Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/sda7 11197 13759 20587266 83 Linux
/dev/sda8 13760 15684 15462531 83 Linux
/dev/sda9 15685 19451 30258396 7 HPFS/NTFS
As you can see the EFI partition is the last and was not modified.
Problem:
I enabled BootBooster option in BIOS. Every time when I turn on my laptop GRUB loads very slow(before GRUB there are POST messages).
However when I *reboot* laptop GRUB loads very quickly(no POST messages).
Has anyone had a similar problem?
I installed standard DOS/Windows boot loader in MBR and GRUB on Linux partition, but didn't help.
I want quickly GRUB load every time. How can I fix this?
Sorry for my english.
