Go into wrench, options, under the hood, until you find font and language settings.

I too cannot change the font of the bookmark bar in chromium. Even via the font and language settings I can't change the bookmark font size. Though if I recall the bookmark font has always been controlled by the system set font and size but that seems to be broken in today's update.

I'm not sure that this will help, but I remembered my problems with font smoothing in chromium. To make it read font configuration you should edit ~/.Xdefaults.
Pay attention to this thread: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=94233 Do not you have the same problems with DPI?
Try to run Chrome with ~/.Xdefaults like this :
! Xft settings ---------------------------------------------------------------
Xft.dpi: 96
Xft.antialias: true
Xft.rgba: rgb
Xft.hinting: true
Xft.hintstyle: hintslight

Those aren't the fonts I am on about Schen.
I have ~/.Xdefaults set like those already but doesn't affect chrome mouse.

So how to fix font issue in chromium???

Lets think about causes of the problem. May be there is problem with environment? I am using chromium/iron on desktop/netbook with openbox. Also i use ubuntu patches font libs. That's all. So, i'v never seen such problems with chromium.

I've always had this problems with chromium except during one period of time (I cant remember wich version was that). After a major update of Chromium recently (3-4 weeks ago) chromium had these UI fonts issues and I couldn't resolve them, so I've switched to Epiphany.

Are any of you by chance using Nvidia cards and having this issue in other GTK applications? I got this issue and tracked it down to a recent nvidia update doing something about DPI. I went into /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-nvidia.conf (or whatever it's called, not at that computer now) and added this:
Option "UseEdidDpi" "false"
Then I could edit the font sizes in .gtkrc-2.0.mine or in related tools.
