[SOLVED]compiz and gaming in another tty

Noobish question- I just don't have an appropriate means of testing...

After reading this page [wiki]http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Gaming[/wiki], I've implemented a similar script for my games to not be affected by dualscreens and what-not.  Just wondering, will the fact that compiz is running on my gdm session effect my game in its own X window?

Cheers.

If you run game in separate X Session - then no, Compiz do not affect the game.
Try xgame-gtk2 - I think this will be more comfortable :>

Re: [SOLVED]compiz and gaming in another tty

Thanks very much for the tip PoZiTPoH.  Just a problem with the package you've specified- I use x86_64 so your package doesn't work, and the same package in the aur seems to have the server down.  You wouldn't happen to know of a solution, would ya?

Thanks again.

Erh, forgive my sleep deprivation tongue

Thanks guys, this saves a lot more time turning compiz and dualscreen off and on again for my games.
