What happens if you try with default (ie. no xorg.conf)?

Same thing. I tried to do it w/o xorg.conf, at first. I added it only after I saw nothing was working.
I had nvidia's binary .run thing installed before, if that changes anything.

Xorg.0.log might be helpful.

Xorg.0.log: http://omploader.org/vNHNsNA
too bad its loading the vesa driver instead of the nouveau one.
, run X -configure as root, and then edit the new xorg.conf file and replace the "vesa" part for "nouveau"
that should do the trick, especially if you have kms enabled.

Why is X -configure failing? It outputted: http://dpaste.com/213349/
Btw I uninstalled vesa, cause I thought it might be messing something up, but nothing's still working. ![]()

remove nouveau, install vesa, have xorg configure vesa, and then simply replace the driver ![]()
btw. you should have KMS enabled.

If my tty got really huge does that mean I've KMS enabled?

yep. Higher resolution (and therefore smaller fonts) means KMS is enabled

Thanks! It worked. Configured with vesa, then installed xf86-video-nouveau, nouveau-dri, libgl and it started and mouse/keybd is working.
Teeworlds aren't running as great as I expected, though. ;-D
