I got conky installed. I want those pretty rings that I see people have. I got lua installed. I tried a few conky configs with lua but the lua doesn't show.
When I type lua in terminal i get this:

Should I install conky-lua-nv since I have nvidia card?
What is the difference between conky-lua and conky-lua-nv?

I have the nvidia version, but it's pretty useless. You're better off monitoring your graphics card with nvidia-settings, it's down the bottom somewhere in the gui... it's a pain, but more accurate than the nv conky script

No worries, I put up an alternate install for rings and/or nvidia on the wiki too, with a sample
