I have .mpg file (mpeg2 video, ac3 audio) which I got from long editing process with Cinelerra of several .m4v files. I want to rip it on single DVD, but I got unexpected size of 5.2GB. Is there any way to reduce this size to 4-4.2GB? I know there must be any.
Thanks for your attention, drugcpp.
EDIT:
I did .ac3 file with audio and .m2v file with video with Cinelerra, then made a single .mpg with ffmpeg. Maybe some ffmpeg options will reduce the size?

Never used cinelerra but I suspect it has an option to control the output bitrate which is what you'll need to do when editing. Might even have a target filesize whereby the bitrate is controlled to hit a projected size... I dunno if you're just muxing files together though. That implies that you need to re-encode them.

Problem solved! There is an option -fs in ffmpeg that limits file size. So I used it when combined .m2v and .ac3 into .mpg
EDIT:
-fs just stops encoding after the limit size reached and cuts the video, lol. Anyway, there is an option for a bitrate too, I will use that.
