Module powernow-k8 not found at boot

Hi, I'm having problems with cpufrequtils.
I got powernow-k8 and cpufreq-ondemand listed in rc.conf, but powernow-k8 isn't loaded at boot:

FATAL: Module powernow_k8 not found

Everything works fine, when I load it manually with modprobe. Any ideas how to make load it at boot?

Re: Module powernow-k8 not found at boot

I think there is a typo because it says "FATAL: Module powernow_k8 not found", instead of powernow-k8.

It doesn't matter if I have powernow-k8 or powernow_k8 in rc.conf, the module still doesn't get loaded.

I'm having the same problem, after upgrading a bunch of packages this morning.  Still trying to figure out how to fix it.

You could append

modprobe powernow-k8

to your rc.local making it being loaded sometimes later at boot.

I have the same issue, expect I have to do it with acpi-cpufreq. I'll prob just go the 'stick it in your rc.conf' route.
