Add this to your vim config:

set list 
set listchars=tab:>-,trail:-

and for the color, add/edit this line in your colorscheme file:

hi SpecialKey  ctermfg=gray

New desktop!

Switching to the Zen kernel too; the terminal in the other workspace is building kernel26-zen from the AUR as we speak.
