DVD .iso player

I downloaded a DVD off usenet. I don't have a DVD burner and I have the .iso image on my hardrive. Is there a program that will play the .iso just like a regular DVD?

Re: DVD .iso player

You could loopmount it.  That would give you access to the contents which you could play in mplayer/xine.

I have nothing to say, and I am saying it.

Please don't tell us of your illegal activities. Just say you have an ISO that you need to read without burning it...... kids these days.

Kids like to show off what they can...like downloading iso's from USENET, instead of using lame methods like ftp, bittorrent och dc

To err is human... to really foul up requires the root password.

Re: DVD .iso player

Well. I downloaded 3 DVD's in about 27 hours, but I guess it is dependent of up- and downstream of uploader and downloader.  So calculated in years: 0.001 years big_smile

fast connection, you have:

octave:1> 3*4750*1024
ans = 14592000
octave:2> ans/(27*3600)
ans = 150.12

150kb/s

Re: DVD .iso player

I have 500 Ko/s at home.
I live in France and this connection is common now.

It takes more time to install the package than actually download it.

wrong provider? i would say: wrong country! here in switzerland, there is only one company providing the DSL-signal (becaues it owns the whole telecommunications network) and other providers need to use their net ... that's why the prices are constantly and high

a whole comparaison for slowest adsl in switzerland is here:

http://www.your-connect.ch/vergleich-db … Bandbreite

as you can see, the cheapest one is ~44CHF/month (1us$=1.2chf) :-(

Re: DVD .iso player

well you could be in the wrong country,
but i think that should be a more complicated question than high speed internet.
as far as price goes, we are paying pretty much the same save a dollar or so. but you seam a bit slower than i,
