Crazy cursor with Linux Wacom on Tablet PC

Hi All,

I have a Lenovo X200 Tablet PC, and I've been using Linux Wacom drivers from AUR [1] with no problems. A few weeks ago, I decided to check for new drivers, and I not only found that I wasn't using the
last linuxwacom drivers, but that they have been changed to xf86-input-wacom [2].

Ok, I removed the linuxwacom paquet, and compiled & installed the new ones. But I discovered that the stylus has gone crazy, as you can see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGCjuniMYbY . Sorry for the video, but I didn't know how to explain the problem with just words. Touching with finger works ok, it just needs calibration to correct a little displacement.

The PC is a Lenovo X200 Tablet, I've tried xf86-input-wacom and xf86-input-wacom-git [3], I've tried with no xorg.conf file (auto configuration), and using an xorg.conf file as commented in ThinkWiki[4], and the behaviour is always the same. I've tried to recompile the old linuxwacom, but I don't have a copy of the previous version I was using.

Of course, I've also tried googling, but no lucky results with "Linux Wacom flickering cursor" or similar wording.

Any hint? Maybe this doubt is more suited for Linux Wacom developers than Arch Linux?

Regards,
Sergi

For me this patch works: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=de … tid=525124

Anyway, it is just the uglyhack, there should be more accurate solution.

Thank you Shender! I found this bugreport a few days ago, but I didn't remembered to test it and report the results. I've found time to try it, and now it's working right again. I expect they will apply the patch (or something similar) to the master branch eventually.

Re: Crazy cursor with Linux Wacom on Tablet PC

Apparently, the recent update of xf86-input-wacom solves all the troubles in a nice way.

Nice! Curiously, xf86-input-wacom-git doesn't :S.

Re: Crazy cursor with Linux Wacom on Tablet PC

I'm getting this exact same problem on another tablet.  It's a SlateVision with a serial Wacom overlay.  Unfortunately, every driver related to Wacom either doesn't work or has the same problem in the video.  This device does not have the "touch" feature.  Any thoughts?

Re: Crazy cursor with Linux Wacom on Tablet PC

Now I have:
linuxwacom 0.8.6-3
xf86-input-wacom 0.10.7-1

And it's working perfectly with a simple xorg.conf file.
