CLI/Curses based Diary/Task application

Is there something like calcurse (which is an awsome program) to keep diaries and/or keep track of tasks?

remind - totally cli.
wyrd - ncurses front-end for remind.

remind is great, but it doesn't naturally deal with todos. Try "devtodo" in the AUR. The two may be combined as remind can execute scripts - see the RUN option to REM commands.

Also pal (or palcal) may be worth a look - I switched from it to remind, but liked it when I used it.
