Hi all,
I have tried numerous methods of trying to get my Nvidia G210's HDMI output as my default sound. I have an onboard sound card that I can't disable as my BIOS is locked down.
Is anyone willing to help me troubleshoot this?

It's for a different card, but also talks about problems w/ HDMI, you can try that
aplay -D plug:hdmi /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav

Thanks Karol,
Have done what that thread asks already. I seem to be having a weird issue. It will require some troubleshooting it seems as opposed to some instructions already given. Thanks for your help though. It does seem as though finding someone who will be able to solve this will be nigh on impossible.

Maybe you can blacklist modules of your default soundcard drivers?

If I'm totally missing the point, just say so and I'll shut up.
