We're waiting... And waiting... And waiting... What happened to this? Is there anywhere I can find the source code for Gecko without any user interfaces? Alternatively, is there a way to build Mozilla without the browser or any component other than the Gecko libs?
This is getting bloody annoying...

I think it's still burried deeply in XUL and XCOM...

And what about K-Meleon? That's a Windows browser that embeds Gecko without needing you to download Mozilla... Why can't the same be done for Linux?

Galeon and others? Making it a good and seperate lib is a bit differently than ripping it out and fixing the biggest bugs, while keeping big unneeded parts.

Not going to happen. You dont seem to understand that its not that easy to rip the middle out and throw it on its own.
but hey! if you want to go and do it, go for it, have fun.

Ahh... Okay.
If it's not going to happen, though, why aren't the Galeon and/or Epiphany guys trying to embed Mozilla, instead of making you download the whole application suite?

Because is the nature of linux to keep it seperate. Rarely do you see things statically compiled

Hmmm... What about this? Could GNOME 2.10, Galeon, etc. work with it instead of the whole of Mozilla?
