so I tried to install xorg with pacman, just to see if it was somehow gone, and got the same packages to reinstall.

Do I need to remove the xorg dependency from the PKGBUILD?

thanks

The PKGBUILD is stupid.   It should not depend on the entire xorg.

ok I got luagl installed but lua can't find the lib.  I tried searching to find where it is and all I found was /usr/bin/luagl witch is a executable and I'm not sure how to use it.
