Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

What do you intend to do with it now that you have it? Seed it? XD

scarletxfi,

If your intent is to try to upgrade it to today, that would be so cool. There was a thread here once that was a very valiant attempt to do it. Unfotunately, it wasn't successful.

seeding it! muahahahaha! ..
nah I just thought you know.. it is arguably one of the best distro's out there (at least, probably the most stable one I've used) its good to have version 0.1 you know - what started it all.

I'll upgrade to it on a virtual machine when i get around to it.. probably this week.. I'll keep you posted if it was successful...

That is soooo crazy. Seems fun. Which kernel version it is?

I see that the mushroom finally kicked in ;-)

Upgrading it would be like trying to pull yourself up by your bootstraps. The real catch is that you are a babushka. The smallest one.

It's the only way to install Linux with Jerry Garcia by your side.

Probably not. You might need to just play with a VM.

Re: can anyone confirm Arch0.1.iso md5sum?

I can confirm that Arch0.1 cannot be installed on a SATA drive. (easily fixed just change the sata controller to an IDE)
I'm having trouble installing the kernel (on 20gb machine, tried "make zImage"[-failed on "need more space"] and "make bzImage" [failed on general error] (everything works till there, I'll give it another shot on saturday)

also the kernle is: 2.4.18, and they used LILO as the bootloader
