OK, i know how to install stuff from the AUR. BUt i can seem to find open office! so i downloaded the .tar.gz from there site and its not the SAME. how can i download openoffice! i need some help here, i need this for school!

acutally i used the wiki to look this one up and learned how to install it from the terminal! wiki really helps!=), but should i install the base or base-devel version of OO? what is the diff? the wiki does not say much about that!

AUR? openoffice is in the repos. Devel is the development branch, at least if you trust the package's description.

It totally eludes me how you, after all your previous topics, still don't seem to understand that the standard procedure is the following:
1. Search the official repos
2. Search AUR
And not the other way around.
Either you have a hard time picking up things, or you're just wasting our time.
