[SOLVED] uvcvideo webcams not working with kernel newer than 2.6.32

Hi Guys,

I have a funny problem with my laptop:

Since I have been running with kernel newer that 2.6.32 my webcam is not working very well, while i'm chatting with skype or using cheese after few minutes the video freezes. to sort this out i tried another webcam but the problem is still on! both webcams use uvcvideo module

device ID are: 045e:0728 and 046d:0802

i tried many distro (sidux, pclinuxos, ubuntu, etc) but without any luck!

This is the only issue that I have with my lovely and shining ArchLinux box, please help to sort this out!!

Thanks a lot in advance

Salvo

I'm sorry but I dont know how to solve your problem..

On the other hand, I partially solved mine:

It seems that disabling the cpu scaling during the videocalling everything works fine!
