I want gnomeradio mono output

Hi, I'm using gnomeradio to listen to FM. I'm using a bttv card and it only has the ability to output stereo output. How can I convert it to mono, either by an .asoundrc or by another method? The bttv (card 1) is connected to my SB Audigy 2 Platinum's Analog-In port. Any tips, anyone?
