How to configure Squeeze and/or Xarchiver to support 7z?

I've installed p7zip package. Midnight Commander works ok with 7z files (it uses installed 7z CLI). But neither Squeeze nor Xarchiver can open and extract them. How to configure them to use 7z I've installed to support 7z archives?

A known bug in Squeeze: http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2911 . According to their roadmap they plan to fix it in 0.3.

Try File Roller instead.
