Hello Guys,
Thanks for your support. I have an issue since I upgraded to Xorg 1.8 and Kernel 2.6.34.
Now during the startup I can see the detect material like a debug mode and sometimes, it freeze, then after 2-3 minutes it continu the normal boot process.
The second issue is I can't put anymore the computer in the standby mode.
Before with the Kernel 2.6.33, it worked fine !
I checked the logs, didn't find any problem.
You can see on this picture the issue (It freeze not everytime on the same line) :
Do you have any Idea ?
Thanks a lot.
David.

I see nothing wrong here, the computers just tells you what it's doing atm. The last line in your picture says it found you usb keyboard.
The boot process usually takes about a minute on an old computer, so 2-3 minutes is rather long. Can you post your rc.conf?
Edit: Are you using Arch Linux or archboot?

Hello Karol,
I'm using Archlinux. It worked fine 1 month ago.

It seems to be choking on modprobing via82cxxx, if I read that trace correctly?
some earlier pci-related errors:

No idea if it will do any good, but you could try blacklisting via82cxxx. Blacklisting should look like so (compare with your rc.conf):
#MOD_BLACKLIST=() #deprecated
MODULES=(vboxdrv acpi-cpufreq cpufreq_ondemand cpufreq_performance adt7475 it87 !snd_pcm_oss !snd_seq_oss !via82cxxx)P.S.: Does downgrading the kernel help? Can you boot the livecd?

Was it taking so long to boot then? I see you're using LVM but I don't know if it makes the boot time significantly longer.
I'm not sure if the firewire problem is significant:
pcieport 0000:00:1c.4: Requesting control of PCIe PME from ACPI BIOS
Firmware did not grant requested _OSC control
pcieport 0000:00:1c.4: Failed to receive control of PCIe PME service: no _OSC support

No, the computer boot normaly in less than 20 seconds. I have an SSD drive for the system. The LVM/Raid is only for my datas.
It worked very well with the old Kernel.
I don't understand why I see the detect material during the boot. On my other computer with Arch I see only the "status" of the boot process, like udev process event...[done]
I tried to install the Kernel 2.6.35 and the problem still the same. Maybe I have to go back to 2.6.33.
@hokasch : I will try to downgrad the Kernel. The boot CD works well. Now I'm working on the computer that have the issue. It's only an problem during the startup. Very strange.

You may try to rebuild the kernel - you have some modules compiled in, so maybe sth went not-quite-right. Just wild guess really.

hokasch, I tried to blacklist the module via82cxxx and now IT WORKS !
I realy don't know why but now the computer start normaly !
Thanks a lot for your help both Guys ! Good support for archlinux users !
David.

proshack, I misread your first post - thought you could not really boot at all. via82cxxx is the "PCI driver module for VIA IDE", so blacklisting it could have other implications.
Offline
Hokasch, I'm not using any IDE drive/disk. Only Sata, certainly not the same module for that. Actually the computer works well. Thanks a lot for your help.
edit : is it the module for the IDE connector ?
I disabled in the Bios the IDE drive, removed the !viacxxx in the rc.conf. And it works fine again. You're right it was a problem with the IDE connector. I don't need it, I can disable it !
Thanks again for your help.
David.
