Perl is out-of-date

Hi there,

I've been noticing that the perl package is out-of-date for a very long time... I mean, Perl 5.12 is already out and the Arch only has version 5.10.
I know there is a v5.12 on [testing] but since using [testing] is something like an all or none option, I'd much rather use perl 5.12 from [core].

So, my question is "what happened?" Arch is known for having the lastest and greatest and it just seems strange that it would lag behind on something as ubiquitous as perl...

(I don't know much about pkgbuilds and such, otherwise I would've tried to fix it myself).

Re: Perl is out-of-date

You will just have to wait until it hits core. If you have questions about packages in testing you can ask them in the [testing] forum. Since this thread is nothing more than a rant and has nothing to do with Pacman or upgrade issues, i'm closing it.
