Has 'unread topics' changed since last update?

Previously, when I closed by browser and opened it again perhaps an hour or so later, 'latest posts' would just show the posts made in the time since.

Currently, it shows threads I've not read yet, doesn't depend on the time the browser was closed. For me, the additional step is simply 'mark all topics read' before exiting.

Just wondering whether the previous behaviour which I've gotten used to was a bug. I can see the usefulness and 'correctness' in the current behaviour, but would be good to know if its a conscious change or if I was just doing things wrongly initially.

Well, the changelog says "Improved unread topics tracking.".

'Latest posts' /  'Show new posts since last visit' showed the topics where sb posted recently and it still does here.

It appears it does clear the list, but not quite as quickly as previously.

Re: Has 'unread topics' changed since last update?

Hmm, in my case it doesn't clear over 12 hours, which is much longer than previously. I'm wondering whether I can rely on this, for example to quickly clear a few topics at 9 am in my office but leaving the rest till about 10 pm when I get home....

Hey, I have the same problem here. But still it does clear the list. How to resolve this one?

Nothing to 'resolve', that's just how it works.

Actually, there is this link "Mark topics read". I usually check "new posts", open all  threads i'm interested in from the new topics/threds list, then click mark read and hten actually read what i opened. Next time i click New posts only what is new since clicking mark read is shown.

Re: Has 'unread topics' changed since last update?

This is probably obvious: but how do I show all unread posts (that means not unread since last visit, but in general)?

Did the "unread topics" system change back to what it was originally?

You probably need to define "originally", but I think the answer is yes.
