anyone have this issue? I've never in over a year of using Arch had this errror before.. since nothing was upgraded as the message says, nothing is "broken" by the upgrade..
any ideas on what I have to do so this upgrade actually works? Since I am clueless on this type of problem..

Sorry, I searched this forum and didnt find anything regarding my post..but I googled.. and found something similar..and did it and it worked fine.. I didnt know how to use the "force option" in pacman... but i found the command incase anyone else needs it, or has the same kernel upgrade issue..
pacman -Sfy kernel26

The force (f) option is normally a bad idea.  The not infrequent posts from people who have broken their systems using it testifies to this.  In cases like this it is better to figure out if the conflicting files are used by another package and, if not, remove them.
