Overly-colorful LS...how is it done?

Color file-attributes. I'd really like to do this, but I can't find any documentation on it.  I know how to do simple bash colors for file names, but that's it.

stuff like this:

FS3Ez.png


(these examples were taken from the users dunz0r and dmz)
