Nvidia Underclocking [solved]

Hi,

I'm building a new box at the moment, with either an Nvidia 470/480 GTX card.

As these are relatively power hungry and I only really make use of them when gaming under Windows, is there anything I can do in Arch to "clock them down" and save power? I don't really do anything graphics intensive on Linux, no more than dual monitors and 2D desktop work.

Maybe the Linux Nvidia driver does this to some extent already? Just curious what my options are.

Open Nvidia X Server Settings.  Go to PowerMizer Information, and pick "Adaptive" mode.
