Hey all!
I'm new to Arch and I was wondering if there was any documentation on the different nVidia modules that you can load when X loads?
I've just enabled the composite extension and I see all of these modules that need to be loaded in here, http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Composite#Manually
I'm just curious what they're for.
Thanks

C'mon, things like glx and freetype have their Wikipedia pages.

I think the OP might be wanting a handy-dandy list of all the available modules in one place. I think the Nvidia official documentation has a listing of all options, but not sure about the available modules.

Yea, I was looking for something in one place. I started googling each one individually but after I couldn't find anything for dbe (even typing in dbe double buffer) I figured you guys would know the best place to find this information.

Google 'dbe xorg' http://www.x.org/releases/X11R7.5/doc/m … DBE.3.html
Offline
ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux … README.txt
There are numerous options that may be added to the X config file to tune the
NVIDIA X driver. See Appendix B for a complete list of these options.
All installed components are listed as well. Xorg modules should be documented in man xorg.conf.

From http://www.x.org/archive/X11R6.8.0/doc/xorg.conf.5.html :
Driver and module specific configuration parameters are described in the relevant driver or module manual page.
It's an excerpt from an old release so things might have changed.

Awesome, thanks guys. The Xorg manual seems to have everything that I was looking for.

If you find something useful, you can put it it the Arch wiki.
Have fun.
