MPlayer interrupted by signal 6 in module: decode_video
- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and
won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug.

Audio (mp3, ogg) plays fine though.
I've tried to compile my own mplayer and that works great. Would be nice if the arch version worked as well

Re: Mplayer won't play video

Have you removed the mplayer package and installed it again (and removed it from cache first)?

I've never seen this before, but it looks like a corrupt MPlayer package to me.

Re: Mplayer won't play video

Tried it, but to the same result hmm
What I found out is that the user can play videos from console with framebuffer at least. Not that it helps..

Re: Mplayer won't play video

Try a different X video output, try adding -vo x11 or -vo xv or -vo gl2 or -vo sdl

one of those outputs ought to work

Re: Mplayer won't play video

jupp. sdl worked. But only that. The problem with sdl is that the quality is so bad.
The point is that something is wrong if my compiled mplayer work with all output and the system one only work with fb and sdl

Re: Mplayer won't play video

I had this same problem, fixed it by changing the output like you did.

Is your system up-to-date?

Re: Mplayer won't play video

Well yes. I installed arch this week. And the mplayer problem was the first problem I got.
