Ruby issues upgrading OpenSSL from 0.9.8 -> 1.0.0.

After doing a system update, my RoR applications all took a noise dive, most of the messages being as follows:

libcrypto.so.0.9.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory - /opt/ruby1.8/lib/ruby/1.8/i686-linux/digest/md5.so

The only reference I could find to this was found here (https://trac.macports.org/ticket/19122), which is in regards to a beta version of OpenSSL. I imagine the problem is stemming from the fact that I am using 1.8 instead of 1.9 which was a requirement of Redmine (at the time I installed...long, long ago).

Was hoping someone had a similar problem and had an easy fix - if not I suppose it's time to look at upgrading Redmine, Ruby, and RoR Looks like Redmine still requires 1.8.

rebuild ruby1.8.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
