[Solved] Partitioning difficulties on Toshiba Netbook

I am trying to install Arch via USB on my Toshiba NB255 Netbook. I've managed to setup the USB drive to correctly boot Arch, but I am having some trouble when it comes to partitioning. Regardless of how I choose to partition, the installer/cfdisk crashes.

If I select "Auto prepare," I get this:
Auto prepare error

Using cfdisk:
cfdisk error

And here's the netbook's partition layout as reported by fdisk -l:
partition layout

To me, it seems like Windows 7's funky partition scheme is confusing the installer and cfdisk.

I haven't been able to make a working gparted live USB key yet (using an .iso image and dd doesn't work, neither does the .zip live archive), so I'm pretty much stuck here for now. Any suggestions?

Try erasing all partitions using fdisk before starting the installer, so cfdisk won't complain.
