can't start savage 2

After downloading and installing savage 2 x64 i got the following error while starting the game:

./savage2.bin 
./savage2.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libjpeg.so.62: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Found this resolved bug (opend 10 days before in gentoo bug tracker). So the problems seems to be solvable.

How can i fix it?

Do you have libjpeg6 installed?

i installed libjpeg and lib32-libjpeg using pacman -S and this is all i got:

ls /usr/lib/ | grep -i libjpeg
libjpeg.a
libjpeg.so
libjpeg.so.8
libjpeg.so.8.0.2

obviously libjpeg6 is missing. But i don't know where to get it... it isn't in the repo...

Edit: You should consider using some AUR helper app that will take care of the dependencies for you.

Oh my fault. I didn't thought that savage 2 could be in the AUR if it isn't in the repo... sorry i am new to arch and unaccustomed to search the aur if something isn't in the repo.

I'm not sure which savage 2 are you looking for, cause there seem to be two of them:

this is savage 1.

And the other is marked as out dated and doesn't work... i installed libjpeg6 and still get problems:

./savage2.bin 
warning: The VAD has been replaced by a hack pending a complete rewrite
