An interesting little bug that I suppose I should mention: after upgrading my version of GTK today, I noticed that the "fullscreen" icon and the connection indicator icon are missing in Galeon. This is still the case after logging in again.
Would this be solved if I upgraded to the newest Galeon version?
(I was planning on doing that, actually, to compile against Firefox. I know that type-ahead find won't work yet, but I don't use it very often.)
Edit: Wow, even more icons are missing. The notification tray icons, the buttons in Rhythmbox, and several other things have been replaced with "missing icon" symbols. Restarting the whole computer does not help. How do I fix this problem?

I think the latest GTK broke that, I guess its warning for others not to update.
Thanks for being our test dummy

Fucking hell, I must have accidentally deleted my cache...
Bah, I'll wait for another upgrade. This isn't as dire a matter as the random freezes caused by the last MM kernel.
Anyway... Is this due to the package being compiled wrong, or is it the fault of the GTK devs?

There's been a bug report submitted with a proposed patch.

Damn, I have the same issue. One day I'll learn the 'wait and see' approach.

Wierd ... I noticed I have 2.6.5-2 of gtk2 and noticed a few icons still missing. In gcalctool there is an icon with an x on the lower-right hand corner. VMware 5 has a bunch of those icons on the menu bar too.
I noticed that they are fine on another arch box that I havent upgraded in a while.

Maybe reopen the bug report or open another one. :?
