This is my issue: I have just installed arch on a netbook for daily use.
At the moment I have no desktop, and no other OS on this netbook. The issue is that I don't want to do kernel updates, even if there's a newer one, the one I got works just fine, and will do a kernel update only when it seems necesary to me. I don't want to recompile kernels or adding modules, so, here's my question:
Is there a way to do regular updates, but ignoring kernel, headers and al thought of kernel related software?
Thank you.

2 options
Install kernel26-lts (long term support) I would reccomend this option
or
put kernel26 in ignorepkg line in /etc/pacman.conf to stop kernel26 updating
Can't I do both?
Thank you.

You can, but if the regular kernel works for you, I would suggest sticking to it.

Yeah, you're right, why even bother.
So, if I ignorepkg kernel26 neither the headers or any other dependecies required by the kernel will by updated.
Thank you very much.
