Gramps Geneology

I just installed Gramps and I keep getting this error, does anyone know what this is about?

The gconf scemas were not found.  First, try executing 'pkill gconfd' and try starting gramps again. If this does not help then the schemas were not properly installed.

I ran pkill gconfd but to no avail, any ideas?

Why does gramps require gstreamer? Do I play music with this program?
