Widgets on xmonad desktop?

I wuld like to place a couple of conky monitor scripts on my xmonad desktop, below all other windows, not affected by tiling nor taking focus from other windows. Is this possible?
If so, how?

I've never had any problems with my conky.  it sits right in the back unaffected by tiling or focus.  I'm pretty sure that's just how conky operates by default....
