X server won't start

Got some problem with getting x server running when I installed drivers for my graphic card -> ati mobility radeon hd 5650 , the drivers I used where from amd's website.

x86-video-ati drivers worked, but not as smooth as I wanted so I wanted to try different drivers to see if I could get some improvement.

here's Xorg.0.log = http://data.fuskbugg.se/skogsturken/Xorg.0.log

The drivers I downloaded = ATI Catalyst™ 10.6 Proprietary Linux x86 Display Driver

Re: X server won't start

Don't use the driver from ati's website, build the package available in AUR. Keeps a clean system and should work better. More info about the different drivers is in the wiki.

Re: X server won't start

Have you uninstalled the official ati drivers? Also, there is a troubleshooting section in the wiki which may help.

Re: X server won't start

Yep I did uninstall them, and I looked at the troubleshooting section but couldn't find any solution to my problem....

But now i changed back to xf86-video-ati driver, Im using fluxbox as WM and xcompmgr for transparancy, now my windows move slow when i move them over the screen... what is going on?
