Nice, is this something like globalmenu you are using in the top panel? What package is needed for that or how did you achieve this (just a new feature?)?

What Lothium said, bespin-svn and you'll also have an Xbar plasmoid.

Re: August 2010 Screenshots

@marfig: amazing dark setup, definitely! I'm not a fan of tiling wms, but this one kicks balls. (OT - do you guys run all those apps (fm, net browser and 'usual' apps) when wm is starting (on a tiling wm)? - OT)

Re: August 2010 Screenshots

Very nice marfig! (btw, don't know if it is on purpose or not, but for .i3/config you can use the "conf" syntax in vim, set syntax=conf, if you syntax hilighting at al that is).

Yeah, I plan to do that. I'm still learning all about Linux. It's been the Arch community and the Wiki that allowed me to reach this far. I'm precisely studying Vi/Vim since it's fundamental if I want to start coding also in Linux. Soon enough Vim will be properly styled and syntax highlight will be implemented.

I'm using a xft font; ProFont

use_xft yes
xftfont ProFont:size=8
xftalpha 1
override_utf8_locale yes
uppercase yes

edit: fixed bad copy/paste

Me too, for the first time. But I fear of a big time loss needed to customize it. I'll see.
That screenshot sure made me want to try the i3. smile

Re: August 2010 Screenshots

I've put the dotfiles in http://www.quiettech.org/arch/dotfiles/.

.i3/config
.ncmpcpp/config
.conkyrc
.Xdefaults
and a multiaction script for one of the i3 keybinds

Most of it is probably not necessary. But, if you want to replicate it exactly...

Re: August 2010 Screenshots

-- mod edit: please only post thumbnails --

xmonad, dzen2, conky and 2 roxterms running tmux and nano.

xmonad wallpaper randomly chosen on xmonad startup; all wallpapers made by an archer and downloadable from these very forums.

xmonad.hs and dzen2 status bar(s) are a work in progress. I'm not much of a coder, so they're probably pretty ugly, but they work.
