After all, captchas are severe obstacles whenever you use text-only browsers (which I have to from time to time).

Hilariously, these capchas have alt text that contains the content of the capcha, so that text browsers can log in...

Oh, yes. I forgot about that. Perhaps because it did seldom work here (well, I didn't try for quite some time now). And in most cases there surely was no alt text.
And, yes, it is hilarious. Anybody could use the alt text, especially those who are meant to be kept out by the captcha. Makes no sense to me altogether.
