Firefox / Chrome wiki/forum Google search plugin

As an absolute noob, I search the wiki a lot, but since the wiki search is pretty weak I use Google with site:wiki.archlinux.org, but being lazy I wanted to have it in my Firefox search bar with a keyword attached to it for convenience.

After some scouting around I found a website which easily creates search plugins for Firefox or Chrome and made two to suit my needs:

wiki Google search

forum Google search

This is such a small contribution that it hardly deserves to be posted, but somebody might find it useful.

Just add this xml file to your /usr/bin/firefox/searchplugins, reboot firefox and it should appear there. To search the forum just change the word wiki in the search query to bbs.

A little tip for Chromium users.
1. Go to a web site that has a search you want added to the search engines in Chromium.
2. Perform search with whatever word. Better use non-sense random word. ("werwjmlsdf")
3. In Options->Manage search engines, you can now see a search engine automatically created for that website.
4. Change the keyword to whatever you want.
5. ???
6. Profit.

You can add a search engine for the wiki and AUR. JUST MAKE SURE that you don't enter a query that is a single hit. Enter a random non-sense word. This will certainly lead you to the results page, and Chromium will be able to recognize that you just performed a search and arrived at a results page.
* It doesn't work for the arch forums, since they don't have the entered query in the URL of the result page.

i can not understand how to add an engine for chromium after i read these posts. usually i add an engine in chromium, i will right click the input bar.and select 'search engine' . then name, keyword, site.
that site is a url like this: https://encrypted.google.com/search?=&q=%s , because i want to add the arch's forum search engine into my search engine. what should i do ?..what url is the arch forums' search engine?

The problem with the forum's search is that the results page doesn't contain the search them in its URL. It uses a redirect.
This is the page that redirects to the search results. Use it to create a chrome search engine for these forums:

That is for Firefox and I have no idea how to use it.

I use the location bar combined with bookmark-keywords instead of installing search engines.

For 'search the site you're currently visiting' I use this trick:

I also turned the url bar into a regular google searchbox by setting 'keyword.url' in about:config to (in my case Dutch)
