installation went really wrong

hey thanks in advanced for all the help you can give me
i installed arch-core-64bit and when i restarted i got the error
error: file not found
grub rescue>

when ever i boot into a live cd or usb to try and reinstall it i get the same error
i got the same error i have to tried the rescue grub section of archwiki
and have tried the set prefix cmd =(hdx,Y)/boot/grub
in all input types and the error come right back
also have tried the insmod cmd and tried all of the input types
and it returns with the same error

and i know i messed up pretty bad i dont know where things went wrong

try changing your primery boot device to boot from the live cd and try reinstalling grub, post fdisk -l output and /boot/grub/menu.lst, seems something went wrong with your grub install.

thanks for the reply but even if i choose to boot from cd it still has the same error msg
ive tried from live cd and usb and nothing is working ive tried everything i can think of
does anyone else know of a fix or an idea post it and i will try it i really need to get this fixed because
at the moment my computer is a brick and i cant do anything with it

Try installing 32-bit version and check again. If your system works fine then please file a bug report.
