World of Goo (USB mouse+ Synaptics touchpad) multi-mouse gaming

I've been testing this amazing game by 2D Boy, and was quite surprised of how good it was.
I also saw a feature which enables you to use two mouses simultaneously by hotplugging the usb mouses and doing a chmod a+r on /dev/input/by-id/***event-mouse files. I've successfully managed to play with two usb mouses, but then came the idea of playing with a usb mouse and a touchpad (since I have a laptop). I have no idea of where to start, since there is no "links" for the touchpad in /dev/input/ (except the event5, which is seen in it by ls -la...btw, tried symlinking that to the file in "by-id" but it didn't work.

I've put this topic in the "Kernel & Hardware Issues" cause it's somehow related with udev and xorg. Move if it's unapropriate.

Any ideas here?
